7 Things You Should See On Lombok Indonesia

Lombok, an island east of Bali, however less famous than its neighbor. Most areas on Lombok are untouched, while each year, millions of tourists have been attracted to Bali. Tourists are still unfamiliar with this island.

Lombok often delivers isolated and empty fantasy shores, friendly and exciting people, food, and nature. This season, following a stay of more than two months, Lombok and the Gili islands became my favorites.

Within this article, you will find what to do around Lombok.

1. The Gili islands

Three paradise islands, which seem little in contrast to Lombok, are situated just 20 minutes away by boat. The three islands are Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air.

The Gilis are famous for snorkeling and scuba diving but also for relaxing, swimming and partying. Backpackers and tourists visit especially Gili Trawangan. Over here, you can sense the reggae-ganja-magic-mushroom-vibe that is playful. The Gili islands are a must!

By snorkeling on a daily trip from Lombok, you could discover the underwater world of the Gilis. With a bit of good luck, you may get a chance to spot turtles.

2. Mount Rinjani

The second most enormous volcano in Indonesia is one of Lombok’s highlights! It’s possible to book multi-day guided tours even and into the Crater Lake to the very best in any respect spots. The images speak for themselves.

3. Senggigi

Most tourists arrive at Senggigi because resorts are located over here. Also, it is excellent for going out at night or eating. Senggigi Beach is one of the most famous surf spots for vacationers and locals alike. At this beach, the vendors and sailors aren’t pushy at all. You can have a friendly little conversation if you want (mostly about soccer since Indonesians love soccer).

From Senggigi into Pemenang

To explore this road, it is ideal to employ a scooter, which you can rent Senggigi. One of the highlights is that the viewpoint at Malimbu Hill 2 and 1. It offers a view over Malimbu and Nipah Beach along with the 3 Gili Islands. Have a look at the sights and beaches you may find in this way because they’re worth seeing.

You will probably utilize the same street if you want to leave Lombok with the public boats to the Gili Islands. You can get a cab from the airport or from Lembar (in which the people ferry from Bali arrives). This is because the street goes directly to Bangsal, where public boats are departing.

4. Kuta

Following Senggigi, Kuta is most likely the next tourist hotspot on Lombok. It offers beautiful beaches also and lots of restaurants and lodging.

You can explore the dream shores of Mawun, TanjungAan, and SelongBelanak since they are quite close by (see under). Kuta Beach itself is worth a look.

5. Pusuk Monkey Forest

Taking a road through a mountain landscape is the second choice to visit Bangsal. It is where you discover the Pusuk Monkey forest. You can call in the jungle, and near the road if you want to feed the hungry and bothersome bastards at the opinion points.

But be careful because they will search for backpacks and your bags and so forth. You may go there by scooter as well, but consistently “HatiHati”, like the Indonesian states.

You may pay tp go the Monkey Forest and the Malimbu Hill perspectives on a day tour if you don’t want to explore Lombok on your own with a scooter.

6. Mawun Beach

Now I will introduce you to some of my favorite beaches of Lombok. One of them is Mawun.

Based on the timing of the day and the weekday, this shore with turquoise water and its white sand is still abandoned. At times the waves are more massive over here. The beach is isolated and located west of Kuta within a bay, which you can easily reach with your scooter.

7. SelongBelanak

I believe I rarely witnessed such a broad and beach someplace else. You can surf or swim at this very long beach. I suggest having a peek at the close viewpoint overlooking the bay and the beach. It is located a bit north of SelongBelanak Beach. It is still an insiders’ trick when you do a scooter tour, and you shouldn’t overlook it.

Vacation is more than just the scenery. It’s about making long-lasting memories. Discover more adventures in Lombok Island by visiting Wonderful Indonesia.
